The Consortium of Fraport AG – Copelouzos Group – Constantakopoulos Group has been declared as Preferred Investor for Kalamata International Airport
Investment plan to enhance infrastructure and international attractiveness of the region.

The Consortium Fraport AG – Copelouzos Group – Constantakopoulos Group has been declared as the Preferred Investor for the concession of Kalamata International Airport “Captain Vassilis Constantakopoulos”, following a tender process conducted by the Growthfund, marking the commencement of a new era of further development of the region.

The concession agreement entails the undertaking of the management, development, and operation of the airport, which is expected to be extensively upgraded by the Consortium. The submitted offer includes an upfront fee of €45 million, which will be paid on the concession commencement date, while total payments to the Growthfund (concession fees and dividends) during the 40-year concession period are expected to amount to €71.2 million.

Furthermore, the Consortium has committed to an ambitious investment plan of €28.3 million that will take place within the first three years of the concession. The investment will focus on creating a modern and efficient airport that addresses the growing demands of the passengers, enhancing the international attractiveness of the region.

This development confirms the strategic commitment of Copelouzos Group to the growth and enhancement of Greek infrastructure assets.
